We are closely monitoring the situation and have taken steps to restrict access to Canvas as progress is made in bringing it back online. Taking Canvas offline is a precautionary measure. 

A communication will be issued with further instructions as soon as possible. 

We understand this is disruptive, especially at this point in the semester. Thank you for your patience as we prioritize the safety and security of our community. May 11, 15:51:30 GMT+0 - Resolved - Instructure, the vendor that provides our Canvas learning management system, announced at the end of last week that [Canvas was available](https://www.instructure.com/incident%5Fupdate) for use. To support end-of-term grading, we restored access for faculty on Friday. After reviewing potential ongoing cybersecurity risks and closely monitoring the system throughout the weekend, we are now restoring access to Canvas for all students.
