On December 22, 2023, Network Engineering will cut over the production network interfaces on our core routers from the existing firewall pair to the new firewall pair. A brief interruption is expected while the links are moved. It is possible that other issues will occur which we would then need to troubleshoot.
During the outage, traffic to the internet from Hawk Hill will be interrupted, including VPN. University City will not be affected. Internal systems such as OPSS and VMware witness should not be affected, since the internal-facing firewalls will not be changed.
